Struggling with what to buy your 6 month old for Christmas? Yea me neither…the reality is she has no clue and I should probably take a deep breath and sit back and relax this Christmas knowing that she will never remember what Santa brought her on her first year on earth.
Tis the season! All of the wonders of the holidays – the lights, the decorations, the food, the family time, the days away from the office….and the sicknesses. We do our part at home by keeping a clean(ish) house, washing our hands and staying up to date on flu shots and vaccinations. Daycare does their part by keeping a sanitized area for the kids to play, but inevitably your baby is going to catch SOMETHING from SOMEWHERE.
4 month update.
Each stage is getting more and more fun! Dawson turned 4 months old on September 30 and it’s wild how everything and nothing has changed since she was born. You don’t realize how quickly it goes by and how different she is until you look through pictures of the teeny tiny girl we brought home from the hospital. She is so much more alert and aware now and smiles all the time – unless of course a camera is in her face.
I’m so excited to be partnering with a brand new online women’s boutique – Judith’s Clothier. You may remember I did the 4 weeks of Chanel giveaways with them leading up to their launch date. I’m sharing some of my favorite pieces from her shop that I think my readers and followers will love! She has a great mix of casual, comfortable staples as well as fun, trendy styles!
In case ya’ll didn’t know, parenting is hard, but thankfully there are lots of items that make it a little bit easier. This post is long overdue, but I’ve partnered with Walmart to show you some of our favorite products that we use on a daily basis. These items are great to add to your registry if you’re expecting.
I guess now is as good a time as any to share Dawson’s birth story. Thankfully, it wasn’t very eventful, but I did want to write it all down before I forget any details. On the night of 5/29, Chris and I checked into the hospital to begin the induction process. Earlier that day I got a pedicure, had lunch with my sister, finished packing and cried…a lot.
I was recently asked by my boss to submit a fact that “no one knows about you.” Don’t you hate that question? It’s especially hard for me because when you get to know me, I’m an open book and oversharing is my middle name. Some may even call it TMI so today’s post is allllll about TMI on a topic that I haven’t covered on The Bay Blonde and since August in Breast feeding awareness month, let’s talk about it:
Better late than never? I guess since she hasn’t really been sleeping in this room, I haven’t been eager to finish it. And still I feel like there are things to do and more shelves to be hung but for now – here’s baby girl’s room. I’ve linked the main items throughout the post, but everything is linked at the bottom.
“I’m in a glass case of emotion!” – me the last few weeks of pregnancy
In typical Christy fashion, my emotional self has been all over the place lately. While I am excited to experience the said “love at first sight,” I have had a lot of anxiety leading up to Baby K’s birthday. We’re as prepared as we could be as far as buying things – she can sleep here, swing here, stroll here, bathe here…
Ya’ll know I’m a lover of all things neutral, but give me all the pastels! I am LOVING the spring color palette this year! Everywhere I turn are the most beautiful “Easter egg” colored things I’ve ever laid eyes on. I am so ready for some color in my wardrobe and on my feed.
